Lisa + Tim | Amsale Wedding from Nina Parker Photography

As a little girl, Lisa fell in love with her family’s culture and the Italian way of life. When it came time for Lisa + Tim to plan their dream wedding, celebrating in Italy had setbacks, so they were determined to have the Tuscan experience closer to home. The result, a breathtaking vineyard wedding that offered a villa setting for all of their guests with a vintage theme and chic attire. I adore Lisa’s airy strapless pleated silk organza trumpet Amsale gown with layered neckline and cascading ruffle back…And it’s delightful the way her dress connects with subtle decor details like the lace table runners or my favorite, the gorgeous floral fondant design of the wedding cake. Perfect!

The Ceremony
The overall theme was Tuscan Italian Vineyard with rustic elegance and chic attire. I’m first generation Italian and I spent three months in Italy when I was ten and fell in love!!  I always wanted to get married in Italy but my father is cluster phobic and it has grown stronger as time went on.  My family means the world to me so I thought if I can’t go to Italy I will find the next best thing…we must have looked at over 20 venues before we found Montaluce!!  I thought I had died and gone to Tuscany!! We rented 3 villas on the vineyard that all the family members stayed in – they were beautiful and made my dream of getting married in Italy a reality for my family, my husband and me!!  It was the best time of my life!  The wedding was outside on the covered terrace…The flowers were lush, romantic and carried out the rustic elegance theme and with the vineyard and mountains as our backdrop the view was breath taking!

The Reception
We had an intimate sit down reception with wine, speeches and merriment. For the table décor we had wooden boxes filled with the floral arrangements for the farm tables, ivory lace runners and each place setting was topped with organic lavender tied with jute ribbon. The cake was a large floral fondant cake that resembled the flower on my dress.

Lisa’s Dress Search
I originally had a more fitted and simple dress in mind. Looking back I think I was just trying to play it safe instead of making it my own! I had narrowed my search down to two dresses when a rep from Amsale told me I looked beautiful but she had to be honest, she thought I could do better (I knew she was right!). That’s when they brought me my wedding dress! When I tried it on I was speechless for about 20 minutes!! I had never seen a dress like that before and I was completely in awe of the dress. Once my parents, sister and brother saw me in that dress they all were in complete agreement and just as in love with it as me!!

How Lisa Felt in Her Wedding Dress
I felt beautiful, unique and glamorous in my dress! I truly felt like the dress was made especially for me!!

Why Lisa Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I decided to sell my dress because I want to be able to give someone the same opportunity to feel the way I did on my day!!  That dress is too beautiful to sit in the closet!!
