The romantic, dreamy floral details and lighting at Ghadeer and Khalid’s Florida wedding has had me swooning all week. The touches of vintage throughout, from the antiqued amnesia roses to Ghadeer’s incredible straight-from-the-runway Marchesa wedding gown add a sense of modern nostalgia. A gorgeous wedding I hope you find as inspiring as I did!
The Ceremony Our wedding was a traditional Middle Eastern wedding, so we did not have a ceremony. However, we had a henna party the night before where I wore traditional Palestinian clothing.
The Reception There were over 500 people at our wedding, with a huge stage (similar to a mandap.) We had to choose the Signature Grand because it was only the venue that could accommodate our guest list! We had a Lebanese singer and band. The theme was soft and romantic, with candelabras adorned with amnesia roses and hydrangeas.
Ghadeer’s Dress Search Before I began wedding dress shopping, I looked online. I was checking out the Spring 2014 bridal collections, where I happened upon the Marchesa bridal collection. I had no idea Marchesa did bridal, and when I saw Look 3, I knew that was my dress. I had to call bridal boutiques in Florida to see who carried the dress, none of them did! But one boutique in Miami was able to ship the sample from NY for me. I tried it on, and the rest is history!
How Ghadeer Felt in Her Wedding Dress Like a Princess
Why Ghadeer Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress I moved from Florida to Michigan, and my husband and I will be moving around quite a bit, so I thought it would be easiest to sell. Plus, since it was so difficult for me to get my hands on this dress, I thought I would make it easy for the next bride to get her hands on it!
