Brenna + Nicolas | Romona Keveza Wedding from Christophe Flers Photography

Today’s featured wedding comes to us from Paris, France at the exquisite Maison des Polytechniciens.  With 150 guests from all around the globe, Brenna + Nicolas celebrated their special day in style and elegance…gorgeous individualized gold sequenced dresses for the bridal party, a dashing tux and black tie for the groom and a really unique and flattering Romona Keveza gown called ‘Kady’ for the bride.  Brenna adds, ‘Romona Keveza was a former architect, and my husband is an architect. I liked the structure of this dress, the tidy bow and train in the back that almost echoed a Japanese style kimono, and felt he’d feel the same when he saw it.’ Enjoy!

Brenna + Nicolas | May 25, 2013 | Maison des Polytechniciens, Paris, France

The Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the main ballroom and dining rooms of the Maison des Polytechniciens, a mansion in the center of Paris. Nicolas’ brother Christophe led the ceremony as celebrant. Two of their childhood friends acted as readers, as did Brenna’s uncle.

The Reception
The cocktail, reception, and party took place at the Maison des Polytechniciens, as well. The cocktail following the ceremony took place upstairs, while the main ballroom and dining room were reset for dinner. There were 150 guests from all around the world, including China, the USA, England, Italy, Sweden, Belgium, Nigeria, India, and more. The dinner was a five course French meal planned by the famous chef Alain Ducas. It included a popcorn cream and guacamole amuse bouche, a fois gras entree, a steak, potatoes and mushrooms main, a Normandy cheese, and a raspberry tarte and sorbet dessert. Brenna’s Danish relatives made the cake, known as a Danish Groom’s Cake.

Brenna’s Dress Search
I thought I knew what type of dress I wanted, until I started trying them on and discovered what was most flattering for my figure, skin color, and then what would be appropriate for the venue we’d chosen. Romona Keveza was a former architect, and my husband is an architect. I liked the structure of this dress, the tidy bow and train in the back that almost echoed a Japanese style kimono, and felt he’d feel the same when he saw it.
