Beth + Jon | Monique Lhuillier Wedding from Cramer Photo

Lace + love in the Blue Ridge Mountains…this is such a romantic wedding from Crozet, Virginia.  Surrounded by 20 of their closest friends and family, Beth + Jon said ‘I Do’ at the King Family Vineyard, with beautiful florals in purple, cream and green displayed in rustic, reclaimed wood flower boxes and sprigs of fresh rosemary and sage wrapped in bits of burlap and jute.  Other details not to miss from today’s featured wedding: Beth’s flattering Monique Lhuillier gown called Scarlet, made of French Alecon lace with ivory slip, Queen Anne neckline and stunning open back.  Or the very sweet and playful look of Beth’s lace gown paired with Jon’s tan suit and rustic brown cowboy boots.  So good, enjoy!

The Ceremony
The wedding took place on a Monday evening – June 3rd, 2013 at King Family Vineyards in Crozet, VA.  We had a small ceremony outdoors with a backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We had 20 of our closest friends and family with us to celebrate. The ceremony started at 6pm and I walked down the aisle to a guitarist rendition of John Denver’s “Sunshine on my Shoulders”. We wrote the vows and ceremony ourselves and it was officiated by a local family friend.

The Reception
The reception took place inside at King Family Vineyards inside their carriage house. While it was a large reception hall and we wanted such a small wedding, we sectioned the large space off using large pipe-and-drape to create two separate spaces – one, our dining area and the second, a dance space with our band and lounge seating.

Beth’s Dress Search
I knew exactly which dress I wanted as soon as I saw the Monique Lhuillier Scarlet dress. A friend of mine had worn it for her wedding and, without ever having seen it in person, I knew it was the dress of my dreams and that I would not be happy until I had it.

Why Beth Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I felt so amazing in the dress on my wedding day and knew the dress wouldn’t benefit me by sitting in a preservation box in a closet for years to come. I thought, why not pay it forward and give someone else the opportunity to feel just as wonderful on their big day too?
